Introduction
The SMA connector is a widely used semi-precision miniature RF and microwave connector, especially for interconnect in electronic systems with frequencies up to 18 GHz and above. It come in many forms, male, female, straight, right angle, bulkhead, flange, front mount, rear mount, thread-in etc.
Due to the ultra small size, it is employed in tight layout.
Typical SMA connector is coupled by thread. And interface is with a hexagonal nut and is suggested to be tightened by torque wrench to realize proper connection.
